Day 1: Cape Town, also known as the ‘Mother City’, is the hub of South Africa. Being the first colonised area of South Africa, it is rich in history, and many cultures and ethnic backgrounds have blended together to create an intricately beautiful fusion of hospitality, art and people – the perfect place to start your holiday. It is here you will arrive to check in to the Table Bay hotel. Recommendations – Visiting the popular Clifton 4th beach in Camps Bay; exploring the tourist favourite V&A Waterfront with its attracting restaurants, stores and stalls, and fun activities; and a sunset cruise on a yacht or catamaran for two or so hours while indulging in drinks and bathing in the rich South African sun.

Day 2: Steenberg, with its long and noble history, spectacular winery, five-star hotel and spa, and 18-hole, Peter Mackovich designed Golf Course, is unique – and the perfect setting for the Steenberg Experience. Located in the beautiful Constantia Valley with the spectacular icon of Table Mountain as its backdrop, Steenberg Estate is a must-visit destination. After a pleasant morning of walking the fairways in this premier estate, head to the Steenberg Vineyard for a wine tasting followed by lunch served at the award-winning Bistro sixteen82.

Day 3: Peninsula tour: Start your tour at Kalk Bay, a fishing village on the coast of False Bay. It lies between the ocean and sharply rising mountainous heights that are buttressed by crags of grey Table Mountain Sandstone. Head to Boulders Beach in Simonstown to visit the penguins as they bath in the sun, dive around the shores and do a lot of cute waddling. Next is Cape Point which falls within the southern section of Table Mountain National park. The natural vegetation of the areas – fynbos – comprises the smallest but richest of the world’s six floral kingdoms. End the Peninsula tour at The Chapmans Peak Hotel is situated at the foot of the world-famous Chapmans Peak Drive in the picturesque village of Hout Bay. Indulge in their well-known Calamari (voted “one of top 20 things to do in Cape Town”) on the large sun-drenched terrace with breathtaking views of the bay, beach and valley. We recommend finishing up the day with a cable car up Table Mountain to enjoy the spectacular views of the city, and the breathtaking natural surroundings as the sun sets.
If you would prefer to skip the Peninsula tour, a round of golf at Arabella in Hermanus can be swapped out instead. Edging the Bot River Lagoon and looking out onto the fynbos covered Kogelberg mountains, this is truly a course designed to be played as much as it is admired.

Day 4: On the Val de Vie Estate, Pearl Valley GC is one of six preeminent Jack Nicklaus courses in the country and ranked the second-best course in South Africa. The majestic Simonsberg and Drakenstein mountains provide a backdrop for the acclaimed course where golfers and guests can discover ‘The Valley of Life.’ After golf  we recommend the Spice Route with its singular breweries, wineries and curated dining experiences. Another recommendation is Babylonstoren, one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, set at the foot of Simonsberg in the Franschhoek wine valley. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, unique accommodation, fine food and wine, and evokes a sense of wellbeing.

Day 5: Have the morning at leisure to explore Cape Town how you will. We recommend checking out our blue flagged beaches or taking a trip to Robben Island which is famous for being the prison to hold Nelson Mandela for 27 years before he was named the first black President of South Africa.
