DAY 1-3

Check into your self-catering accommodation at the 5-star Simola Hotel, where you will be greeted with a free Callaway peak cap worth R400-00. After taking in some of the views of this Jack Nicklaus designed masterpiece overlooking the Knysna Lagoon, hop into your golf cart and enjoy your first round of golf at Simola, enjoying the rest of the evening at Leisure, overlooking the Simola golf course and Knysna Forest.

Day 2: Start the day with a full English breakfast at The Simola Hotel, then making your way to Pezula for your second round of the tour (transfer cost excluded). Perched dramatically atop the Knysna Heads, the rugged beauty of Pezula Golf Course is matched by its technical challenge, providing a pleasant and rewarding golfing experience.

After golf, head down to Tapas, where you will receive a complimentary draft beer and a shot of tequila.

Enjoy the rest of the afternoon listening to LIVE music and eating Tapas on the Knysna Lagoon.

Day 3: With day at leisure, you are spoilt for choice with local activities to choose from. Be it a visit to the elephant park or a tree-top zip-lining experience, or a placid boat trip on the lagoon, there’s something for everyone!

DAY 4-7

Day 4: Enjoy a leisurely drive to Fancourt, nestled at the base of the towering Outeniqua Mountains. Fancourt is characterised by modern luxury, classic elegance, and great diversity in golf courses.

You may decide to book a spa treatment, go for a walk along the bird trail, or relax at the Roman Baths.

Day 5 & 6: Play the namesake Outeniqua course and original Gary Player-designed Montagu course (ranked top twenty and top eight respectively) have earned their reputation for their layouts and challenges while exhibiting the beautiful scenery Fancourt has to offer.

Day 7: At this golfing academy, you will get the opportunity to test your skills when you play The Links – the #2-rated golf course in South Africa. An absolute Bucket List for every avid golfer.

Recommendations: Enjoying your evenings by exploring the small towns that surround George, filled with loads of charming restaurants and cafes. Fancourt is an ideal base from which to explore the Garden Route.

Glorious swimming beaches are easily accessible and mountain biking, horse riding, picnics and hikes can be arranged. Guests can book sightseeing excursions to the nearby coastal towns of Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Mossel Bay as well as historic Oudtshoorn. Fancourt has four excellent on-site restaurants if you don’t feel like venturing out but the little hamlet of Wilderness is a 15-minute drive away – worth it for views of the Indian Ocean and dramatic gorges and a meal at a local eatery. Have a well-deserved wind-down at the hotel’s spa after two days of fantastic golf.
